Abstract

In an effort to increase operational effectiveness, every agency needs a supply of raw materials. This raw material is the foundation for the company in its manufacturing activities. Therefore, it is important to have good procedures for managing the procurement of raw materials so that they can meet operational needs well. The aim of this final assignment report is to provide readers with a comprehensive understanding of raw material procurement procedures. Through this research, readers will be guided through the stages required in the procurement process, starting from requesting goods to ordering from providers. The data sources used in preparing this report consist of two types, namely primary data obtained through direct interviews with relevant parties in the procurement process, as well as secondary data originating from official documentation and information from related agencies. Based on the discussion contained in this final assignment report, it can be concluded that the raw material procurement process consists of several main stages. Starting from the stage of requesting goods from the warehouse, selecting a provider which is carried out by considering various factors such as quality, price and reliability of the provider, as well as ordering goods where an official order is made to the selected provider, including important details such as quantity, price and delivery deadline, until the goods are received by the warehouse.
