Abstract
ABSTRACT Transformer is a device used to increase or decrease an AC voltage without any changes in power. The inside of the transformer has an iron core, transformer coil, bushings and conservator tank. A common problem in power transformers is the emergence of operational failures, both thermal failure and electrical interference. Thermal and electrical failure generally results in dangerous gases commonly known as flammable gases. Most power transformers usually use oil as an insulator which functions in addition to cooling it also to dissolve harmful so that the gas is not circulating freely. The type and amount of dissolved gas concentration in oil can provide information on the indication of failure in the transformer. The method for identifying and analyzing gas dissolved in oil is called the DGA (Dissolved Gas Analysis) method. This final project is about analyzing the relationship between the load and the DGA test results to identify indications of failure in the transformer. The analytical method used is three methods, namely TDCG (Total Dissolved Combustible Gas), Roger's Ratio and Duval Triangle. IEEE standards std. C57 - 104.1991 and IEC 60 599 are used as benchmarks for analyzing test results from DGA (Dissolved Gas Analysis). And if the loading results exceed the permitted limit, we will use load reconfiguration using Etap 12.6.0 to reconfigure the load so that it can be safer in operation.
