Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a lot of tourism potential. Indonesian tourism is being heavily promoted and starting to develop rapidly. Indonesian tourism is supported by abundant natural wealth. One of tourism that utilizes the potential of natural resources is natural tourism. Nature tourism is presented with natural beauty, both unspoiled and after cultivation. Tourist destinations that offer a variety of natural tourist attractions are in D.I Yogyakarta, especially Gunungkidul area. One of these natural attractions is Jomblang Cave. Jomblang Cave is located in Jetis Wetan, Pacarejo village, Semanu district, Gunungkidul regency, Yogyakarta. Jomblang Cave is a vertical cave with type doline collapse. This cave was formed due to the geological process of the collapse of the soil and the vegetation above it to the bottom of the earth which occurred thousands years ago. Jomblang Cave is included in the geopark icon of Sewu Mount after being officially designated as part of the geopark network. Jomblang Cave offers unusual views of ancient forests and rays of heaven. Jomblang Cave is managed while maintaining its naturalness. Many things were kept simple without modernization touching them. Jomblang Cave Tourism actively employs local residents to keep residents productive. Jomblang Cave became famous after being used as a shooting location for the game show program “The Amazing Race” from America in 2011. Since then many foreign tourists have visited to see the beauty of heaven’s light directly. The number of visitors to Jomblang Cave is increasing every year. Even though the number of visitors is increasing, the writer speculates that the promotion of Jomblang Cave isn’t optimal. It’s said it isn’t optimal because local tourists who know Jomblang Cave are still relatively few. Therefore, the author makes a video about Jomblang Cave with the hope that Jomblang Cave will attract more tourists, especially local tourists.
